Please click here to see our Privacy Notice for Parents, this explains how we collect, store and use personal data about pupils.

We use two systems at Lacon Childe, ParentMail and SIMS.

ParentMail

Communicating with you is an important part of what we do, making sure you get the correct information about activities, events and school news.

The school uses ParentMail, a service used by over 6,000 schools, nurseries and children's clubs to communicate to parents, its quick and easy and brings all of your school information together in one simple, convenient application.

When your child joins our school you will receive an automated email invitation to register with ParentMail, please see link to the ParentMail login page here.

We encourage all parents/carers to download the App as well, its easy to use and keeps all your information in one place. You can also top up your child's dinner account and pay for school trips. If you need help with ParentMail, please see attached information guide here or alternatively contact the school office.

SIMS App

Effective parent engagement in schools is key to success and the SIMS Parent app is the ideal parental engagement tool for schools. It provides a convenient and accessible way for schools to communicate with parents on all aspects of school life.

Whether it’s sharing information on homework, timetables, school reports or conduct, parents can stay on top of their child’s progress throughout their education. Schools can easily send automated alerts and notifications directly to parents' phones, and a clear dashboard gives parents an overview of their child’s school life, making for meaningful conversation at parents’ evenings. Effective parent engagement in schools means parents are more involved, can help to support development, and work with the school to improve outcomes for their children.

We will send to you a registration email that contains a registration link and an invitation code. This email will be sent from Capita SIMS (noreply@sims.co.uk). If you cannot find this email, please check your junk mail and ensure it has not been marked as spam/junk.  Alternatively, you can register at https://registration.sims.co.uk using the invitation code you have received.

If you need any help with setting up SIM's, please contact the school office.
