Assessment Overview:

All pupils are assessed using the 'Me in PE' criteria, assessments are split into four areas:

  • Physical Me - the focus is on pupils’ ability to perform the core skills both in isolation and ever-demanding situations.
  • Social Me - the focus is on pupils’ ability to work as part of a team, their leadership skills and the effectiveness of their communication with other pupils.
  • Healthy Me - the focus is on pupils’ knowledge of health and what it means to be healthy. Knowledge of the body and activity levels are also assessed in this strand.
  • Thinking Me - the focus is on pupils’ ability to solve problems, using different tactics in different situations in order to be successful. Pupils are also assessed on their ability to assess and evaluate others and provide feedback on their peer’s performance.
