Year 12 Presentation evening

On 20th November, we held our annual Year 12 presentation evening. It was fantastic to see so many Year 11 students from last year celebrate their hard work and dedication.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS

Students and staff are celebrating GCSE results. The atmosphere on results day was filled with pride and excitement as students, families, and staff reflected on these fantastic accomplishments.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

We are using tried and tested research and cognitive science techniques to develop the teaching and learning at Lacon Childe School.

Year 9 have been making their own dishes based on a country of their choice. They have completed their trial dish 1. You can see puff pastry made from scratch to make pain au chocolat for France, homemade pasta for Italy, burritos for Mexico and much more. Fantastic work! #creativity #Laconme

Mock Trial Team Success!

Last Saturday 21st March, this year’s mock trial team travelled to Worcester Magisrates’ Court to compete against six other schools, namely Nunnery Wood, Aston Fields, Blessed Edward, Stroud High School, St John’s and Pate High School in the local heat of the national mock trial competition. We have been busy preparing the case about the theft of a mobile phone for many weeks, and it was time to put our witnesses, lawyers, magistrates, legal adviser and usher to the test and do battle in the courtroom. Every member of the team performed with confidence and professionalism. They were praised for their strong, articulate voices and thorough preparation. We were named victors again this year and Isla was also awarded the ‘most outstanding’ student trophy. Congratulations to you all!
