Year 12 Presentation evening

On 20th November, we held our annual Year 12 presentation evening. It was fantastic to see so many Year 11 students from last year celebrate their hard work and dedication.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS

Students and staff are celebrating GCSE results. The atmosphere on results day was filled with pride and excitement as students, families, and staff reflected on these fantastic accomplishments.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

We are using tried and tested research and cognitive science techniques to develop the teaching and learning at Lacon Childe School.

Former Lacon student, mother of current Lacon students, Megan and Jack, and husband to Lacon teacher, Mr Hubbleday, is the inaugural Head Coach of the British and Irish Lions Women’s Team. Here’s the mock trial team at the end of their last rehearsal before their regional final on Saturday at the North Staffordshire Court of Justice. They had a long day polishing speeches, questions and responses and making sure the trial ran smoothly. The team worked really hard and showed fantastic focus and maturity. It’s Drowning Prevention Week next week, (13th - 20th June) and we will be sharing the Water Safety code with our students.

Here’s a reminder.

Follow the Water Safety Code
Whenever you are around water:
• Stop and Think - look for the dangers, always read the signs
• Stay Together - never swim alone, always go with friends and family

In an Emergency:
• Call 999 or 112 and shout for help
• Float - if you fall in or become tired - stay calm, float on your back and call for help. Throw something that floats to somebody that has fallen in.
