KNOWLEDGE AND LITERACY MAKE CREATIVITY POSSIBLE

Our schools, where students develop the literacy skills on which all further learning depends, cultivate creativity byproviding a broad base of academic knowledge that students need to be properly creative. The knowledge we deliver is powerful in that it changes students’ perceptions, values and understanding. It encourages students to ask new questions and explore alternate explanations

Year 12 Presentation evening

On 20th November, we held our annual Year 12 presentation evening. It was fantastic to see so many Year 11 students from last year celebrate their hard work and dedication.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS

Students and staff are celebrating GCSE results. The atmosphere on results day was filled with pride and excitement as students, families, and staff reflected on these fantastic accomplishments.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

We are using tried and tested research and cognitive science techniques to develop the teaching and learning at Lacon Childe School.

What a lovely end to Year 11 girls fixtures at Lacon Childe. A hot and sunny afternoon playing a friendly rounders game against Tenbury High School for the last time before the girls start their exams. Year 10 work experience is coming up soon, and many students have already secured fantastic placements. We want to make sure all Year 10 have your placement confirmed within the next two weeks. Talk to your parents or carers about your plans.

If you haven’t found a placement yet, or if you’re having trouble logging it on Unifrog, you can join one of Miss Koziel’s Unifrog help sessions. These take place every Thursday at lunchtime in Room 11. ...

We’re incredibly lucky at Lacon to have such beautiful spaces for our students to enjoy at lunchtime. We take real pride in our site and encourage everyone to show #integrity by taking care of it, starting with something as simple as putting litter in the bins.
We’ve launched a house competition now that we are on our field: four bins, one for each house, Clee, Stretton, Mortimer and Wrekin. We’re weighing the bags to see which house collects the most litter.
