King Charles is open today Thursday 9th January for all year groups.

Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

Please report any absences in the usual way.

Here’s the mock trial team at the end of their last rehearsal before their regional final on Saturday at the North Staffordshire Court of Justice. They had a long day polishing speeches, questions and responses and making sure the trial ran smoothly. The team worked really hard and showed fantastic focus and maturity. It’s Drowning Prevention Week next week, (13th - 20th June) and we will be sharing the Water Safety code with our students. Here’s a reminder. Follow the Water Safety Code Whenever you are around water: • Stop and Think - look for the dangers, always read the signs • Stay Together - never swim alone, always go with friends and family In an Emergency: • Call 999 or 112 and shout for help • Float - if you fall in or become tired - stay calm, float on your back and call for help. Our KS3 mixed and girls’ KS4 rounders teams are through to the Shropshire County Finals! After a lot of last-minute player changes from both teams, we managed to pull together and deliver! Both teams did not lose one game against Ludlow, Church Stretton and Bishops Castle and demonstrated some very tight fielding, excellent communication and encouragement and speeeeeed around those posts, scoring them halves and rounders, putting pressure on the opposition. Fantastic play from all students! Special mentions to Players’ Players Abbie, Megan, Sadie and Olivia. #lovelacon #represent #ambition

We’re continuing to run pre‑examination sessions for all upcoming exams. These arrangements have already been sent out, and we’ll continue sharing reminders on our social media channels. We’d love to see as many students as possible at these sessions. If attending isn’t possible, students must arrive at least 15 minutes before their exam. Students who remain in school between exams will be based in Room 20 for quiet, individual revision. Let’s make the most of every opportunity and finish the exam season strong. #commitment
