Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

This week, Mrs Phillips delivered an insightful assembly as part of Black History Month, focusing on the communities that shape, support and sustain us. Students explored the vital roles played by volunteers, community leaders, essential workers, and those who make valuable contributions through their workplaces and civic responsibilities. The assembly encouraged students to reflect on the positive impact individuals can have within their communities and how we can all play a part in creating positive change. We also discussed a range of opportunities for getting involved, including through the arts and local community initiatives. Students were encouraged to explore opportunities with organisations such as the Birmingham Hippodrome, Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, Stop Hate UK, and the Ludlow Assembly Rooms, helping them discover new ways to engage, contribute and make a difference. #BlackHistoryMonth #communities #represent

Permanent Minibus Driver opportunity at Lacon Childe School, perfect for someone reliable, calm, and confident behind the wheel. We’re looking for a Minibus Driver to support our school transport team, driving the school minibus on designated morning and afternoon routes during term time.
