King Charles is open today Thursday 9th January for all year groups.

Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

Please report any absences in the usual way.

Pupil premium

What is Pupil Premium?

The pupil premium is extra money paid to schools by the government to help disadvantaged children achieve more in education. It is given to schools according to the number of students who have been:

  • registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years
  • been in care for 6 months or longer
  • or have parents/carers in the Armed Forces.

How have we used the pupil premium funding at Lacon Childe School?

This money enables us to make significant improvements in the education we offer at Lacon Childe School, especially for our disadvantaged students.  We strongly encourage all eligible parents/carers to register. Please see the reports opposite, which explain how we have used the Pupil Premium and our plans for how to use it in the future.
