King Charles is open today Thursday 9th January for all year groups.

Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

Lacon Childe School GCSE Results Announcement

Lacon Childe School is proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students following the publication of this year’s GCSE results.

These outcomes reflect the hard work, resilience and determination demonstrated by our students throughout their time at the school. We are delighted to see so many young people achieve success across a broad range of subjects and progress confidently to their next destinations, including sixth form, college, apprenticeships and employment.

We recognise that every student’s journey is unique, and we are especially proud of the perseverance, commitment and personal growth shown by this year’s cohort. Their achievements are the result of sustained effort over several years, supported by the dedication of our staff, the encouragement of families and the strength of the wider Lacon Childe School community.

We would like to thank all members of staff for their unwavering commitment to helping our students achieve their potential, as well as the parents and carers who have supported and encouraged them throughout their educational journey.

This year’s results also include some exceptional individual performances. Ben Nicholson achieved an outstanding eight Grade 9s and two Grade 7s, while Molly Hickman secured five Grade 9s and four Grade 8s. Luca Evans achieved three Grade 9s and six Grade 8s, and George Bird gained an impressive four Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and one Grade 6.

We congratulate all of our students on their achievements and wish them every success and happiness in the next stage of their education, training and future careers. They leave Lacon Childe School with much to be proud of, and we look forward to seeing all they achieve in the years ahead.

This year’s star performers include Phoebe, James, Flo, Nicholas, Theony, and Maisie, who together achieved an incredible 27 grade 9s and 22 grade 8s – a truly exceptional achievement that showcases their dedication and talent.

As a school community, we are proud of every single student. These results are a testament to the perseverance, commitment, and ambition of our students, supported by the unwavering dedication of our staff. We also want to recognise the vital role played by parents and carers – their encouragement and partnership have been invaluable throughout this journey.

It is particularly pleasing to see so many of our students progressing confidently to the next stage of their education. The majority are moving on to sixth form colleges, while others are embarking on exciting apprenticeships or entering employment. Whatever their chosen path, we know they will continue to thrive and achieve great things. We look forward to following their journeys and hearing about the incredible successes that lie ahead.
